Of special interest will :be the table or art objects, some frrm th nlrt Bush House, to be offered for sale by the Salem Art Association. - Yoder-Kbcher Vows Read Hubbard Miss Vera Mae Kocher, daughter of Mrs. Winnie Mulloy of Route 1. Hubbard, and ;Zane Yoder, son of William Yoder, also Route !. Hubbard, were mar ried at a quiet ceremony held at -the home of the bride's mother on Friday evening, August 1, 8 p.m., with only the immediate families present. The double ring ceremony was performed by Keverend G. Dickey of Forest Grove. The : bride wore a navy blue lace street length dress and car ried a cascade bouquet of white roses and white carnations. Maid of honor was Miss Rosina Yoder, sister of the groom, wear ing an aqua dress and a gardenia corsage. Gerald Yoder was best man for his brother. Mrs. Mulloy wore a navy blue dress for her daughter's wedding nd an orchid corsage. A reception followed with Mrs. Vance Yoder cutting the bride's cake. Miss Rosine Yoder poured the puijch. The couple left for a trip to Washington and British Columbia and will be at home east of Hub bard. Mrs. Yoder graduated from Hubbard High School and Mr. Yoder is a graduate of Canby High School. i v Cootiette Club Entertained -The regular meeting of Cooti ette Club was held at the home of Mrs. Dale Brooks. Members j present were Mrs. Sue Lawrence, ! Sirs. Chuck Hagerman, Mrs. Don j Stupka, Mrs. Dale Mauk, Mrs. 1 Clarence Forbis, Mrs. Edna Prince, Mrs. Mel Clemens, Mrs. Dale Brooks, Mrs. Martin Finden, Mrs. John Schmidt. Mrs. Bob Holweg- er, Mrs. Dave Furlough, Mrs. Al; Aeschlimann and Mrs. Dorman Crow. Reports were given- by those who attended the Grand Crawl held in Astoria. Mrs. John Schmidt, a delegate, is attending the national convention being held in Los Angeles. The next meeting will be held at the V.F.W. hall August 8. Detroit Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Morrison and children attended the wedding of Dan Abraham and Josephine Toedtneier. solemnized Sunday afternoon at the home of - Mr. and Mrs. Jack Saubert at the Cascade Ranger Station. "A small .group ' of family members and friends attended the ceremony and reception which followed. The Sooth Salem WCTTJ will meet at the Leslie Methodist Church Friday for a no-host lun cheon at 1 o'clock. Assisting will i be Mrs. Lillian Connor and Mrs. James Brusse. Mrs. H. F. Pember- ton will lead the devotions and Mrs. A. W. Metzgar. will review a chapter in the study- book. Members of the Merry-Go- Round Club will hold their annual picnic on Sunday, August 10 at the Leslie Park. Is it good form to state in an an introduction, "I want to make you acquainted with. etc. A. This is considered very bad j form, as is the oft-used expression, "Shake hands with."
