Twenty-four guests have been bidden to a dessert luncheon and miscellaneous shower. Accom panying Miss Lister to Salem for the party will be her mother, Mrs. H. Lawrence Lister. The Lister family formerly resided in Salem. Salem Credit Woman's Break fast club held its Christmas break fast Tuesday morning at Nohl gren's. Twenty-one members at tended and held a gift exchange. They also brought food for a needy family. Mrs. Tom Pickett presided and announced the next meeting for January 8 at 7 a. m. Mis Alice Louise Ohling has had as her house guest the past few days her Delta Delta Delta sorority sister from the University of Oregon, Miss Meredith Good rich of Baker, who is leaving for her home today. Spinster Ball on Saturday Night At the Spinster meeting and Christmas party Wednesday night at the home of Miss Evelyn John son plans were completed for the group's annual charity ball on Saturday night at the Kniehts of f-Columbus hall. Tickets will not be sold at the door and those plan ning to attend may secure them from Miss Marjorie Thomas at Ladd and Bush or from Mrs. Ralph Underwood at the First National bank. Dance hours are from 10 to 1 o'clock with Urs Wolfer and his orchestra engaged to play. Three of the college members home for the holidays and attend ing the meeting were Miss Ruth Holtzman, Stanford coed, Miss Jean Pickens from Oregon State and Miss Irene McLeod of the University of Oregon. Members brought clothing and food for a needy family, which will be de livered today by Mrs. Roy Edger-ton. Lee, Sa lem, has been chosen Willamette university Co-Ed of the month for December, it was announced Thursday on the campus. The Associated Women Students' gold trophy will be presented to Miss Lee during the first Tuesday convocation following vacation and the Soroptomist club will honor her as a special guest at one of their Wednesday luncheons next month. Miss Lee, a member of Pi Beta Phi, was chosen by a board com posed of President G. Herbert, Dean Regina Ewalt, the student body president, Sherman Bliss, and members of the Associated Women Students cabinet. She is now editor of the Colle gian, Willamette's weekly publi cation, and has served as society editor, campus editor and news editor of the paper. She has also handled publicity for the Wallu lah, the university's year book. Miss Lee, a senior, is also a member of Theta Alpha Phi, dra ma honorary, Cantebury club, UNESCO, and is now serving as recording secretary for Pi Beta Phi. She was a member of Beta Alpha Gamma, sophomore wom en's honorary. Miss Spore Wil Wed Navy Man From the east comes news of the engagement of a former Sa lem girl, Miss Elizabeth Spore of Geneva, Ohio, to Austin M. Fields, son of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Fields of Salem. No date has been set for the wedding. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Spore of Geneva, formerly of Salem. She attended Salem schools and is now employed in Geneva. The club rooms were decorated with holly, greens, a tree and red tapers. At the business session the unit voted to purchase pajamas for vet erans at the tuberculosis hospital as Christmas gifts. The grup dis cussed plans to purchase pillow cases for the Scrapbaggers to em broider for the Portland Veteran's gift shop. Mrs. Kenneth Taylor reported on the Marion county assembly held last week in Silverton, at which time Mrs. Jerome Hansen was elected sergeant-at-arms. The auxiliary will send defense stamps to a Christmas shower for the de partment president. Delegates Named Nomination of delegates to the Marion county assembly was held including Mrs. Hansen. Mrs. Jo seph DeFilippi, Mrs. Walter Esp lin, Mrs. Bill Bishop, Mrs. Walter Wood; alternates. Mrs. Archie Chapman, Mrs. William Whiles jr., Mrs. Richard Jennings, Mrs. El wood Townsend, and Mrs. Glen Harbough. A birthday march was held with proceeds going to the good cheer fund.
