She has been in her nresent nosi. tion with .the ' national committee since the 1948 convention. Mrs. Mayes organized the Idaho State federation or women's Rpnuhii- can clubs and acted as its presi dent for five years. Since 1946 she has been an officer of the Nation al Federation of Women's Republi can clubs and Is now a member of its executive committee. In addi tion to her work with the repub lican party, Mrs. Mayes also is ac tive In the American Red Cross. the Business and Professional Women's clubs, the Order of East ern Star and the Youth Center in her home town. The Rev. Meffenbeier performed the double, ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Arthur Paris, wore a white gown and her fingertip veil was held in place with a halo of pearls, i i Mrs. Arthur Paris of Depoe Bay was the matron of honor and wore a gold patin gown with contrasting halo and carried a bouquet or red rose and white carnations. Miss Lorraine Richter and Miss Faye Paris were bridesmaids and wore green and blue satin gowns. They carried yellow and pink roses with white carnations, mien May John son and Mary Louise Vachter were flower girls. ; Ernest Zelinka was best man for his brother and groomsmen were Willif ord Williams and Charles Gergery. The bride's mother wore a green figured afternoon gown with green accessories and the groom's mother chose a navy blue gown with black accessories. A reception followed at the hall at Donald. Mrs. Mary Stevens of Depoe Bay cut the cake. Tha newlyweds will make their home in Donald on their return from their honeymoon.
