r f Donna Whitely, Mr. Combs Married Sprint colon, yellow and green, were used in the decorations and j the gowns of the attendants for the beautiful wedding on Saturday afternoon when Miss Donna Mur iel Whitely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Chambers, became the bride of Franklin Marcus Combs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Combs. It was at 4 o'clock that Dr. Seth Huntington performed the rites before a large gathering of rela tives and friends of the couple. Corydon Blodgett was the soloist and Mrs. W. H. East was the or ganist. The altar was banked with bouquets of daffodils, calla lilies, stock and yellow snapdragons. The aisle was marked with white ta pers tied with clusters of daffo dils and greens. Of white satin was the bridal gown enhanced with a handmade imported lace yoke edged with a satin -cuff and a full skirt which terminated in a court train. Her full length tulle veil was edged in the imported lace and cascaded from a satin Juliet cap adorned with her mother's orange blos soms. She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid. Mr. Chambers gave the bride in mar riage. Preceding the bride to the altar were Miss Patricia Zosel, the hon or maid, Mrs. Richard Whitely, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Beverly Gustafson, the bridesmaids. Their frocks were f marquisette over taffeta fash ioned with full skirts and crino line at the hipline. The fitted bodi ces were sleeveless. Miss Zosel wore pastel green and the brides maids were in pale yellow. They wore matching Juliet caps with houlder length veils and carried colonial bouquets of daffodils, snapdragons and stock centered with violets. Walking immediately before the bride was Rebecca Purvine, dau - ghter of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Purvine, whose floor length frock 'was of yellow organdy made with puffed sleeves, Peter Pan collar and tied with a sash. She wore a matching Juliet cap of satin. Attend the Groom Jack Larson stood with the groom as best man and seating the uests were Virgil Schuetz and larvin Simpson. For her daughters wedding Mrs. Chambers chose a rose crepe gown with gold accessories. Mrs. Combs attended her son's marriage in an aqua crepe gown. Their cor sages were of orchids. The newlyweds greeted their guests at a reception in the fire place room. Mrs. Ralph E. Purvine and Mrs. Lloyd Riches, aunt of the bride, poured- Mrs. George Jack son of Portland, assisted by Mrs. Donald JicNeil. cut the cake. As sisting were the Misses Merle Rhoten, Frances Baum, Shirley Webber and Marilyn Burris. Billy Purvine passed the guest book. When the couple left on their wedding trip to Canada the new Mrs. Combs changed to a red and black check suit with fitted black coat and black accessories. On their return they will be at home t 1880 North Commercial street. Family Dinner For Mr. Patrick ZENA An arrangement of ' Pink and white chrysanthemums flanked by pink and white tapers was used as table decorations when Albert M. Patrick of Zena was honor guest at a family din ner. Sundav. January 14 at the Kingwood avenue home of his i nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gibson, the occasion being his 90th birthday anniversary. Assisting were Mrs. Rex Gib son, Mrs. Duane Gibson and Mrs. Lee Gibson. The dinner was held prior to the reception honoring Air. Patrick which was held at the Zena home of Mr- and Mrs. W. Frank Crawford Sunday after noon. Mrs. Lee Gibson presented her uncle with a decorated birthday ' eake which she had made. Additional members of the fam ily present at the dinner were Mrs. Hattie Gibson, sister of Mr. Patrick who will be 87 in March; Mr. and Mrs. John Strand, Mr. and Airs. Charles Ramp, Rex Gib son, Duane Gibson, Lee Gibson, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Watson, Mrs. Kate-Arnold, visiting here from Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Karl E. Wester and small son. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Evans, Eugene. Founders' Day' Dinner Friday Members of PEO Sisterhood will gather at the First Congregational church on Friday, January 26 for the 'organization's annual Found ers Day dinner. All PEO mem bers in the city and state officers are invited to attend, Mrs. Veda Jones,, treasurer of the supreme ihapter is expected. . General arrangements are under Mrs. H. B. Sentman of C.
