Aug. ll-VPt -A 184 -hour schedule between San rrandsco and Portland by the Southern Pacific's new Cascade streamliners starts tomorrow. The two 13-car trains, each hauled by a 8,000-horsepower diesel locomotive, will cut two hours from the present schedule over the 718-mile Shasta route. Travelers to Seattle will be ac commodated by through cars. The train will leave here north bound at 5 pjn. (Pacific Standard Time) and arrive In Portland at 9:10 am. southbound trains will leave Portland at 4:45 pjn. (PST). arriving at Oakland at 8:37 a.m. and San Francisco at 9:15 ajn.
