At a recent meeting of the La- bish Center school district, Arlo Pugh was elected as a nevv mem ber to the school board for three years. Wiley Biggins is the out going member. Other members are E. M. Boies, chairman, and Clarence Sundet Mrs. Don Meth eny will serve as clerk this year, replacing Mrs. Harlan Pearsall, who has acted as clerk for the past several years. Swim Classes Being Held At Woodburn WOODBURM The Wood hum war memorial swimming pool in Settlemier park will be open to i- the public on week days from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. and 6:30j to 8:45 p.m. until July IS, according to Carl J or gen sen, life guard. These hours are necessary to clear the pool for the first period of free swimming instruction being sponsored by the city recreation and park board. Four classes of swimming in struction began last week. A group of intermediates has lessons at 11:15 a.m., two classes of b sin ners have Instruction at 1 and 1:45 p.m. and a group of intermediates meet at 5:30 p.m. Anothei series of instructions will begin July '9 and wiu Include classes Ik inter mediates, beginning young s t e r s and one class for adult beginners. Pierce discovered the fne burn ing in the attic upon returning from church. The Sweet Home fire department came to the scene within a few minutes, but not before the fire had ttorned ' most of the attic. The home was par tially insured.
