Kans. nrl her train was stalled four hours in Idaho en route west and 12 below zero and much snow was encountered on the trip. redee Mrs. Ted Kubena (Lois Blankenbaker) and her in fant daughter. Nicki Diane, are at the home of her parents. Mr and Mrs. Ivan Blankenbaker. Kubenas live at Valsetz. North Howell Woodburn grange members will visit North Howell February 7 and North Howell grangers will visit Fair field grange February 11. Final plans were made at an officers meeting here Monday. East Salem Mrs. Donald Bowers (Faye Larkins) is now at the home of her parents. Mr and Mrs. Glen Larkins on Park avenue, with her new baby daugh ter. Carol Sue. the Larkins first grandchild. She was the wife of C. P. Haseman. Idanha lumberman. They lived in Mill City for several years. Funeral services will be Sat urday at 2 p.m. at Weddle Fune ral home in Stayton. Other survivors are two sons. R. R, and Jack Haseman of Idan ha. and a daughter, Mrs. Verna Rains of Lacomb. A membership contest will be Middle Grove 411 Club Little Cooks Meets MIDDLE GROVE "The Little Cooks With Big Ideas" cooking club met Monday with Lorilie Holman. Thirteen members were present. Mrs. Jack Wikoff will lead the women's division and Wikoff the men's. Shepard Farm, Barn, Hay and Calves Burned S if' ZEN A Fire of unknown origin destroyed the barn on the Joe Shepard farm at Zena early Mon day. Three calves and an esti mated 12 tons of "hay were also burned. . I .$ & The glare awoke Shepard about 2:30 but the fire bad al ready made such headway that nothing could be saved.
