Dec. 18 War Me morial building is planned for Dayton according to plans an nounced by the Dayton American Legion post this week. Delegation of legionnaires appeared before the Lions club and outlined the proposed method of financing the project to cost an estimated $25, 000. Plans are a one story building 60 by 100 feet with full base ment, at Fourth and Alder streets. Present at the meeting were Louis Schultz, post commander, and members, John Shelbourne, Milton Murphy. Leonard nie Beickel and Mer The plan is for pumace or concrete blocks. Base ment would have a meeting room, dining room and kitchen, with skating rink and dance floor on first floor. Building would be financed by debenture bonds, non - interest bearing and with no due date. Be tween $2,000 and $4,000 will be available from the Yamhill County court and is to be used for re payment of the bonds.
