Beechler will be celebrated at an informal open house this afternoon when her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Garlen L. Simpson, and Miss Grace Babcock en tertain at the Simpson home, 365 S. 23rd street. Friends f Mrs. Beechler are being invitea . through the press to call be tween 2 and 5 o'clock. Mrs. Beechler has lived in Salem since a few months oVl and was married here in 1900. She is an active member of the War Mothers and the Con gregational church. She has two children, Mrs. Simpson and a son, James H. Lambirth of Bellingham,. Wash., three grandchildren sfed one great grandson. Briggs of Enid, Oklahoma, wife of the president of Lions international. Wives of Lions club members in Salem and vicinity and special guests haye been bidden to the affair.' Calling hours are from 2 to 5 o'clock. Mrs. Monroe Cheek and Mrs. Denver Young will greet guests at the door. Mrs. L. J. Stewart and Mrs. Harry W; Scott will introduce to the line which will include Mrs. Jacob Fuhrer, president of the auxiliary; Mrs. Briggs, the honor guest; Mrs. Oliver Pesenon, Astoria, wife of the district governbr; Mrs. Merrill D. Ohhng, wife of the deputy district governor; and Mrs. A. L. Crose, third vice-president of the state auxiliary and a member of the Hollywood Lions auxiliary.
