Society.. -Clubs I Music . .The Home Younger Set Entertained Bobby Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Manfred Olson " of Medford, formerly of Salem, entertained a group of bis friends at a party Wednesday afternoon in the gar den of the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Craig. Mrs. Olson and her child ran rotirmffri to their home by plane Wednesday night following stay in the capital. Refreshments were served on the patio fo Mary and John De France, Jeanne Scales, Kathleen Scales of Portland. Sheryl and Noreen Sono, Charles Warner, Charles Hanson, Jimmy and Mar tha Siegmund of Astoria and Eleanor Sue Olson. Will Celebrate Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shipman will celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary Sunday. August 29 at their home, 1289 McArthur avenue. The Shipmans are invit ing their friends to call from 2 to 6 o'clock at their home. "Mr. Shipman came from South Dakota in 1895 and his wife from Iowa in 1899. They were married tn Salem in 1904, having resided here most of the time. Lincoln Sir. and Mrs. I I. Mickey entertained with a pic nic dinner at their Lincoln home Sunday for old friends from Kan sas who have moved to Oregon in recent years, included were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Popejoy and Esther. Arthur and Juanita, and Mr. and Mrs. Emery Drake and Elmer Drake all of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. George Wilkensen and Joe, Mrs. Lydia Wilken. Marion, Mr. nd Mrs. William -Neptune and Mrs. Lenora Mickey. Salem, and Mr. and Mrs. L. I. Mickey, Mrs. Tannie Emel, Mrs. Cellle Emel, and John Rodriguez. Jefferson Mrs. Gilbert Haevet entertained twelve little boys Sunday afternoon In honor of her son Larry's sixth birthday. Change Meeting Time Meadowlark auxiliary, 6102, VFW, met at the home of Mrs. Joseph Hopkins for a dessert luncheon Wednesday afternoon. Plans were made for - the fall bazaar and the group decided to meet the second and fourth Wed nesday nights of each month in stead of in the afternoons as in the past. Mrs. Walter Hartley was appointed chairman of adult education program committee. Mrs. Hopkins was welcomed as a new member by transfer.
