The coming week U filled with varied social calendar with lun cheons, dinners and dances scheduled. Buffet Luncheons Mrs. Conrad Paulson and Mrs. Elmer O. Berg will be hostesses for two springtime luncheons this week at the Paulson home on Court street. Guests have been invited to one o'clock buffet luncheons on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. -Covers will be placed for 30 each dav and the afternoon hours will be spent informally. Spring flowers and blossoms will provide the decorative note. A Dessert Bridge Mrs. Howard Maple and Mrs. Melvln Geist will entertain in the second of a series of parties they are planning this spring on Wednes day night at the Maple home on Fairmount Hill. Guests have been bid den to a 7 JO o'clock dessert supper with contract bridge in play fol lowing Bouquets of pastel spring flowers will be used in decorating. Covers will be placed for Mrs. Verb W. Miller, Mrs. John Emlen, Mrs. Vern Shay, Mrs. William E. Deeney, Mrs. James Humphrey, Mrs. Charles Clarke. Mrs. Wilbur Berry, Mrs. J. Deane Patterson, Mrs. Wal ter Snyder, Mrs. Harold Hauk, Mrs. Theron Hoover, Mrs. George S. Hoffman, Mrs. Chester A Downs, Mrs. Donald A. Young and the hostesses. Luncheon ctt Town Club Mrs. H. T. Clark of Portland has invited members of the Town and Country club to luncheon on Thursday afternoon at the Town club in Portland. The one o'clock luncheon will be followed by several hours of bridge. Two Dances Calendared . On the dance calendar for this week is the Tillicum club's special formal dance on Thursday night at the Marion hotel. This is an extra dance for the club members and will officially end the season. The so cial hour will be at 6:30 with dinner served promptly at 7:30 o'clock. Guy Albin's orchestra will play for dancing at 9 o'clock and there will also be election jof officers. The decorative motif will be kept a secret until the dance according to the offiers, T. M. Medford, president; and John S. Lochead, secretary. Reservations must be made by Monday with either officer. Trotters Dance Friday The Trotter's club semi-formal dance will be ail event of Friday night at Crystal Gardens with Claude Bird's orchestra playing between 9:30 and 12:30 o'clock. The committee in charge of arrangements In cludes Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Heater and Judge and Mrs. Joseph Felton. Travelers to Fly North . . . Several Salem people are headed north this week for short vacation Jaunts. Mrs. Walter Spaulding and Mrs. Donald Madison will fly north Wednesday to Seattle and then go by boat to Victoria and Vancouver, B. C. They will return on next Monday. The travelers will have din ner Wednesday night, In Seattle with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Murdock, former Salem residents. Mrs. Donald Muellhaupt and Miss Edna McElhaney will leave by plane Monday for Seattle and Victoria, B. C.
