U.S. Re-Entry Into Market Spurs Grains CHICAGO, March 13 -OV The government's re-entry into the cash wheat market was celebrat ed by substantial advance In all cereals today. At the start the upturn was most pronounced in wheat, but corn was showing the mot strength at the closing gong. Oats made fair sized gains. Late yesterday the agriculture department said it would buy about 1.000.000 bushels of wheat a day to fill Immediate export needs. It also announced it had purchased flour equal to 10,920, 000 bushels of wheat since March 3. Wheat closed 4 4-64 higher. May $2 40-2 40 4; com was 5 to 74 higher. May $2 18-2 18S ; oats were 1 4 to 3 cents higher, May $1 124-4, and soybeans were 7 to 8 cents higher, May (3 41. The agriculture department has been out of the wheat market sine, prices started to break in early February.
