Surprise Party Given A surprise birthday party was given on December 12, for Joan Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Brown, and friends at the Elsinore theater and a luncheon at White's afterwards. It was her 14th birthday. Attending were Ottie Grive, Lorene Gistafson, Elsie Mae Otjen, Shirley King, Barbara Wagness and Patty Rath. LINCOLN Christmas greenery decorated the Walter Brog home for the annual Christmas party of the Lincoln Goodwin club, Dec. 11 for which Mrs. Walter Brog, Mrs. Theo Burns and Mrs. Ken neth Hunt were hostesses, assisted by, Mrs. Pat Johnson. Special guests were Mrs. Pete Vbth, Mrs. J. E. England and Mrs. Pat John son and Mrs. Lester Walling and Jean. The club will send clothing to children of the Corvallis Farm home. Boxes have been sent Eu ropean countries and a local fam ily is to be remembered with a basket Mrs. H. D. Burns was nominated to attend the conference concerning the community center which will be held at Zena church January 8. Hostesses from the Goodwill club and five from the Spring Valley Home Missionary society will make arrangements for lunch at the combined meeting of the two clubs to be held at Zena church, Thursday, January 8 at 2 pjn.
