Cor nell, athletic business manager on the campus the past 12 years, would resign to enter private business. The student 1 paper quoted Cor nell as saying he was entering in to a laundry business with branches here and in Roseburg and that he may leave his position next year. Cornell aid, however, that he has not resigned yet and has not decided definitely when or if he trill quit. Pitts Obtain Dixie Rumor NEW YORK. Burris replaces Roy Harland and will take over his new duties on January 1. Other officers elect ed were Norman Freeze, vice chairman, and Sam Randale, disV trict commissioner. Immediately following his elec tion Burris appointed three scout committee heads. Selected were Clark Lethin, camping; Claude Graham, organization, and' Art Lamka, training. Weekend Camp Sites In other action the scout lead ers authorized development ef three week end ramp sites In the Salem area, but the exact loca tions were it decided. Meeting in an adjacent room at (he hut were 30 local stout leaders taking the second training session of a scout' training course. The class is being instructed by Lamka and Jack Rhodes. . The annual outdoor session of scout leaders will be staged at Smith Creek camp on December 6 and 7. At the conclusion of the meet ing it was announced that the an nual dinner-meeting of Cherry City district sc outers and their wives will take place December 19. but the place has pot yet been decided.
