'Settlement School Exhibit Monday, November 18 has been set as the date for the annual Pi Beta Phi Settlement School Ar rowcraft exhibit. . Members of the ' Nancy Black Wallace alum nae club will be hostesses and the affair will be held at the home of Mrs. James T. Brand on North Summer street starting at 7:30 o'clock. Plans were for the affair were completed at the monthly meet Ins of the alumnae group Thurs day; night at the chapter house. Mrs. John Hughes is chairman of the display with Mrs. John 1 Mc CuHough assisting. All alumnae, mothers, actives and interested persons are invited to attend. All kinds of weaving and hand wrought sjlver jewelry have ar rived from the Settlement School at Catlirburg, Tenn. for the event Pi Beta Phi maintains the school of which Mrs. G. Herbert Smith Is a director. Mrs. Elbert W. Roberts presid ed at the business session after which refreshments were served. Hostesses were Mesdames Joseph M. Pevers, Jr., Kenneth G. Man ning, Charles Huggins, P. D. Quis enberry, Lowell Pearson and Miss Mary Jean Huston. Chapter AB. PEO, will meet f er dinner at Nohlgren's tonight at 6:30 o'clock to honor Mrs. B. P. McEveny, state officer. After the dinner a business meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Charles X. Downings Feted On Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Downing were honored at a 29th wedding anniversary at 2355 State street on Saturday night when a group of friends came for a party.
