Jorgenson and her brother and sister-in-law. Ll CoL and Mrs. C. Knapp. The travelers covered over 8,000 miles on their trip, returning home through the southern states and California. Their destination was Washington. D. C where they spent three weeks with their ; brother and family, Mr. and Mrs; D. L. KnaoD. Shower Honors Miss Falk Miss Ruth- Talk, bride-elect of James Moore, was honored at a bridal shower Friday night at the home of Mrs. Km ma Vesper with Mrs. Clyde Cardy and Mrs. Ben Mishler assisting. The couple's marriage : will take place Novem ber 26 at Roberts studio. A bathroom shower feted the bride-to-be and a late supper was served by the hostesses. During the evening piano numbers were given by Mrs." G. JL. Stark and Mrs. Lloyd Thompson. Honoring Miss Falk were Mes- dames Albert Cox, Edward O'Harra. Club Women See Style Show The style show given on Wednesday night by the West Salem Woman's club at the city hall was a successful event, with over a hundred viewing it. Mod els were Mrs. Charles Martos, Mrs. Gerald Brownhill, Miss Patsy Gardner and Miss Maxine Davenport. The show was produced by Lor mon's. a West Salem dress shop, on a theme of "Night and Day." Piano solos were siven by Shir ley Davenport. Mrs. Mona Mack, Portland, was the . commentator. During the tea hour, Mrs. Drew Michaels poured. Serving with her on the committee were Mrs. Glenn Davenport, chairman; Mrs. Guy Newgent. Mrs. Fred Gib son, Mrs. Lynn Sloper, Mrs. II. L. DeArmond, Mrs. James Las well, Mrs. Ceroid Brownhill and Mrs. Guy Cook. New Members Named Three new members were vot ed into membership including Mrs. John E. Johnson. Mrs. Clarence M. YW Workers Go To Canada ' Attending the first American YWCA conference to be held in Canada, three representatives of the Salore club of young business women and one staff member of the Salem YWCA are spending this weekend in Vancouver, B.C. Dr. Gerald Switzer of Union college of the University of Brit ish Columbia; Mrs. Bette Zdan, Canadian on loan, to the British YWCA war services, and Mrs. Ruth Rohlfs, national YWCA board member, Seattle, are to be speakers at the conference.
