Mrs. Hayden Srmthson. chair man, announced that the rum- mage sale for April 12 and 13 at 343 N. Commercial upstairs in the Farmer's Union building. All are asked to take rummage to Mrs. Smithson, the Camp Fire office or to Mrs. C. S McCollam. The grand council fire was ex plained in detail by Mrs. F. C. Bell, and guardians were told of a practice, April 27 preceding the council fire at 10 o'clock at Leslie. Refreshments were seVved by Mrs. .Lou Ls Anderson and Mrs. Charles Hagemann. Blue Bird leaders will meet at the First Presbyterian church Thursday at 9:30 a. m. The year s final G u a r d i a n's association meeting will be held April 30 at the First Presbyterian church at 6:30 and will bo a covered dish supper. The Sihegro Blue Bird group of the First Presbyterian church had a party April 4 with their leaders, Mrs. Orval Vogan and Mrs. Paul Holloway. Hostesses Were Sue Ann Barker and Bar bara Hennes. : Wacinton. meaning "to have Interes-t and understanding" was selected as the name of the group which met at the First Christian fhurch with their guardian, Mrs. Roy Wright April 4. The group went on a nature hike to Wilson park. Two new members, Darla Tungate and Darlene Smith, were welcomed. Tawasi group met with their guardian, Mrs. W. C. Cavender, April 4 to work on notebooks. Joan Swallow has completed re quirements for Wood Gatherer and Dorean Cavender, Dorothy Ladd and Lois Roi eVe r have completed requirements for Fire Maker rank. The Coy Cottage Blue Bird group met April 4 with Mrs. E. M. Syring. They had a but ton sewing contest which will be judged by a mother and a prize will be awarded ,for the. neatest at the next meeting. After the contest the girli played game. Tea Will Honor Future Coeds Alpha Gamma Delta alumnae are making plans for a tea on Sunday, April 14 at the home of Mrs. James H. Turnbull, 1365 N. 21st street, in honor of local high school girls- who are planning to attend college in the fall. The formal affair is in charge of Mrs. Estill Brunk and Mrs. Calvin Kent. Coeds from the Oregon State and University of Oregon chapters will be here for the occasion. Mrs. M. D. Thomas wilt be In charge of decorations for the tea table; Mrs. Keith Flory and Mrs. J. Wesley Sullivan the invita tions; and Mrs. Robert Brown and Mrs. Herman Jochimsen. tha reception committee. Other alumni assisting with plans for the tea includes Mesdames E. B.
