Junior Women Heqr Discussion A , panel discussion, "New Horizons of the YW'CA in Sa lem", was a feature of the Salem Junior Woman's club meeting Monday night. Mrs. Ecther Lit tle, executive director of the VWCA, picsented the panel with her staff members, Mrs. Julia Kotts, Mrs. Vance MatDowell and Mis. Neil Brown, assisting. Mrs. Arthur Roethlin, chairman of the press and publicity com mittee, was in charge of the pro gram. Mrs. MarDowell gave a violin solo accompanied by Mrs. Jam Smart. During the business session, it was voted by the club, to sponsor a Camp Fire group. Re instated to membership was Mrs. Burt Wiilker and voted mem ber was Mrs. Milton Beckett. Plans were made for the past presidents banquet, ait Normandy Manor, March 25 with Mis. Roy Mink in. charge. Plans were also announced for Easter Bonnet bridge benefit to be held at the clubhouse April. 8. Proceeds will defray an en dowment fund debt of the Ore gon Federation. Light ing the altar tapers were Miss Beverly; Fox, who wore pink and Miss Barbara Dillon, whose gown was blue. They wore pastel wrist corsages. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a white slipper satin gown for her wedding. The bodice was fash ionexi with a low waistline, sweetheart neckline and long sleeves which ended in points over the wrist. The full skirt terminated in a train. Her fing ertip length tulle veil cascaded from a White satin coronet. She carried a bouquet of calla lillies tied with while satin ribbon. "Miss La Verne Haruberger was the maid of honor and wore a pasted pink taffeta dress with net skirt. She carried a bouquet of maroon carnations with a wreath f the same flowers in her hair.- Bridesmaids were Mrs. Delbert Bair, who wore pink taffeta and Mrs. Clarence Apple fste, whose taffeta gown was of blue taffeta. They carried bou quets of yellow and pink carna tions and wore wreathg of the am flowers, Mr. Stanley Bochmer was his brother's; best man and ushers were Mi ; Neil Boebmer, brother of, Ihe grooml and Mr. Wilson Clarke. Dwighl Wyatt was host ess to members of the Salem Rotana club at hr home on Monday night A buffet supper was served and plans were made during the business meeting for expanding the organizations in other cities, and for future projects. Six guests from McMinnville and eight from Portland were among the 35 who attended the meeting. The JiinUr Federated Music clubs will give a musical pro gram on KS1.M at 4:45 today. The numberswill be played by Amy Girod, Bruce Goldblatt, Nancy Eljiott, Dean Needham and Beverly Lyman. AU Over Slip Covers Made By Women Br Maxine Ruren They just completed quite a project out at Liberty on Tuesday and seven proud women took home newly covered chairs. Mrs. Myrtle Carter, home demonstra tion agent at large from Corval lis, assisted by Miss Marjorie Tye, Marion county home demonstra tion agent completed a course of five lessons cm slip covers, with women of the Liberty district as pupils. Seven women brought chairs and material for covering them, each woman had at least one helper. Some of the chairs ieeded preliminary work on springs and stuffing; some of the covers were strictly the slip-type while oth ers were ' semi-permanently up holstered. Materials were good looking, mostly of large figured cre tonnes, one was a heavy piece of maroon material which was edged with ecru brush fringe. Work was well done, the wom en seemed very particular about Ihe work and when I saw the chairs, just before they were com pleted, final touchen were being put on to produce professional looking work. Chairs were completed and taken home on Tuesday but some of them will be on display at the Homemakers Festival on April 4 at VFW hall. Women covering chairs weie Mrs. Ixiuis Kurth, Mrs. R. M.
