Mr. Zobel registered for the draft at Port land and has been employed in1 the aircraft factory near Los An geles. Called for his physical, he came north. J . : - : -y " Swegle Women Hosts at Party SWEGLE The annual Christ mas party of the swegle wom an's , club was held Tuesday at the home, of Mrs. Walter Swingle on Garden Road. A covered dish dinner was served at noon. Offi cers for the new year were elected and plans completed for the home nursing class to be held in Janu ary and February. It will be open to all interested, there is no charge and persons may call the president of the group to register, Classes Will be held at the Red Cross 1 rooms in Salem, where- all the necessary equipment will be furnished. Classes will be held at 1:30 to 330 on each Wednesday afternoon. Gifts from the large Christmas tree were exchanged., Special guests fori the day were Mrs. G H. McCullah, president of the Sa lem Woman's club; Mrs. M. Park, one of the -organizers of the club 12 years ago;. Mrs.' Nels Severson of Brooks; Mrs. C. L. Stark and Mrs. Louis Lorenz.
