The run lasted 74 days. 7 . , " Cart Huber; 1 the plant superin tendeijt, indicated that a small crew .was ' still . working on - car rots -and the last canning would be in about two weeks after which no more canning would be done until next spring.- The large Ray- Maljng warehouse is stacked full of canned goods and in addition several empty store buildings in Woodburn's business section have been rented and filled with can ned goods. A large part of this pack of fruit and : vegetables- has already been sold, most of it to the armed forces. Z . Market for 1940 Hops Is Active : ' PORTLAND, Nov. 20 V (P) Hop trade reports of. the depart ment of agriculture indicated Fri day that 1940 hops will be pur chased as fast as they become available to Oregon" markets. Dealers have bid 60-65 cents per pound for them subject to certifi cation. ' Practically all 1942 hops ' have been sold and growers - are re luctant to contract, for 1943 hops.
