Farts Baseball was first organized in 1839. It looks like the old sharks on the Skiff property on Liberty street would on be replaced with a fine new building for Montgom ery Ward & Co. Most everyone ju the rity tells us that Bishop's are going to move to Liberty street in the building formerly occupied by Shipley's. Bishop's hare made no 3ch an nouncement as yet. The Old Capitol National Bank building next to BuSter Brown Shoe store is now owned by O. F. Johnson. This building is nicely finished and has a large vault which was formerly used by the bank. Some good business will no doubt locate here soon. The room next to Johnson's Ladies' store on State street, which was occupied by the Dart Games, is about to be leased. An nouncement should be made soon. : i Te heard that "Frosty" Olson i is planning to build a fine home j near his greenhouse north of Sa- lem ou the Pacific highway. The--new building now under construction at 13th and State will be thejlqcatlon of another Safe way store in SaJem. 'HI ' Many people rlsited the new Holladay home ou north 19th treet, Sunday, after reading about it in the Sunday Statesman. The Statesman received many compliments on its Fifth Annual Baby section which was published last Sunday. The pictures of all these fine looking children were taken by the Jesten-Miller studio. t For Kent- Rooms j NICE LARGE room, twin beda. ga rage lr wanted. 15:7 Court. TeL 7415. ROOM WITH porch.
