Much of the lumber in old hous es is as sound as the day it was installed and. In fact, frequently will be found to be a better con struction material than when it was first used. This is because of its years of seasoning. Many arch itects and builders prefer this. old lumber to new, unseasoned mater ial and use it whenever possible for the most exacting purposes.
