It Is estimated 103.232 per sons used the reading room. The report shows 932 books were worn out in the year, 683 volumes re bound and 387 lost and cancelled, while 14 were lost and paid for. Tbe financial report shows to tal receipts of 914.075.48, of which 312. 970. was from city tax; 31105.48 from petty cash; 3983. 59 from fines, 941.74 from lost books, $85.90 from rentals and 9128 from non-residents' cards.; The total income per capita was 53 cents, which is short of the 81 per capita support recommend ed as standard by the American Library association, when five books per capita are circulated.
