The delightful affair took place from 3 to 8 o'clock at Clements Park, nine miles from Salem, near Hazel Green. Since the occasion was .the ninth birthday anniversary .of Margaret Upjohn, birthday cakes were featured at the dinner hour All manner of pastimes were in store for the forty children to take part in the picnic The flying swing and cable slide were partic ularly thrilling.
