Party at Clements Park
A children's party of unusual
interest was that of Thursday at
which Mr. and Mrs. Don Upjohn
entertained their four' daughters,
Margaret, Rowena, Florence, and
Donna, their son, Richard, and
a young house guest from Port-
lang, Billy Albert. The delightful
affair took place from 3 to 8
o'clock at Clements Park, nine
miles from Salem, near Hazel
Green.
Since the occasion was .the
ninth birthday anniversary .of
Margaret Upjohn, birthday cakes
were featured at the dinner hour
All manner of pastimes were in
store for the forty children to take
part in the picnic The flying
swing and cable slide were partic
ularly thrilling. Teeters, swings,
and rings afforded much joy for
the young folks as well as the
popular pwimming hole.

bow for Girls, are home from an
exceedingly enjoyable vacation at
Santaly Camp, near Mehama,
where a week was spent. The
twenty girls who made the trip
were accompanied by Mrs. David
Wright, Mrs. William Marriott,
and Miss Lelia Johnson.
The Rainbow Girls in the group
