Boland, bead of the Universal Plan ; Service. - The house is ideally adapted to the nor mar sized city lot, occupying as it does, a 32 by, Z foot ground area. One of the features of the plan is that all the rooms are on the ground floor and yet are of a size consistent with good house management and comfort for tenants. . The living room and dining room extend across the front, separated from each other by an arched partition or by French doors, depending on the choice of the builder. The principal softwood mills of the country during the nine weeks ended March 5, had sold twelve per cent more than they produced, while in the corresponding period of last year the excess of sales over cut was thirteen per cent. Softwood lumber has not yet had time, therefore, to reflect the stronger situation that is develop ing, though mill prjees do show more firmness.
