Following thelmna oounaed on tne north by tb reading of the minutes the usual amount of bills were allowed. A sewer ordinance was then present ed br the water commission but referred back to the commission for correction A pool ha!l ordinance was read. This gave to tlie council the spe- cific right to allow and license pool halls at ita own discretion. The ordinance also gave the coun cil the right to designate the num ber and the area where pool halls sh'ould be located. The latter will be north of Oak to High Street and up to Second street. Tb mat ter was referred to the judiciary committee. Sidewalks were - granted for Adams street and a number of new sidewalks were ordered built where old ones now exist. The county asked the privilege f clearing out the right of war rrom Pine Street down past the old paving plant' to the railroad track. This matter w-as referred to the Street Committee, Th park committee submitted 1 report and the blue prints for tbe laying out of the city park. The report was accepted.
