Queen Lucia received her crown from the hands of Professor Math ews, one of the Willamette pro fessors best liked by the students, and the queen and her party took their places in the court. Miss Fay Spaulding gave a vocal solo immediately after the crowning of the queen. - The May dances which followed the "crowning of the Willamette queen were a representation of the four seasons doing ; homage to Queen Lucia. The features of this event were the. Autumn Leaves, the Winter Snowflakesj and the nolo dance given by Miss Lois Moorhead.
