Five Accidents Fatal Five of the 54 accidents re ported to the state industrial ac cident commission, for the .week ending March 26 proved fatal. These were E. M. Ryiand, logger, Astoria; ' Everett E. Emmett, chaser, Clatskanie; Charles Pur- cell, boatman, Jefferson; Alvin A. Lindeman, teamster-laborer, Mo doc. Point, and Frank P. Tye, log ger, Parkdale. Of the total num ber reported, 472 were subject to the provisions, of the: compensa tion act, 91 from firms and cor porations 'that have rejected the provisions of the act. and one from a public utility corporation not subject to the provisions of the act.
