Myers Orders That Man ; Remain at Soldier Home I! f State treasurer, Jefferson My rrs, yesterday telegraphed an ord er to Commandant Riddle of the state soldiers home at Roseburg to allow John Mauerer, a disabled veteran from another state to re main in ithe Oregon home until the state board of control can pas? on the case. Myers took this ac tion because of the absence of Governor Pierce and Secretary of State Koier, the other two mem 'bers of xne board of control. Mauerer; is a veteran of th Spanish war, and is said to be a resident of another state. H went to the home at Roseburg suffering S from a serious" case of hernia, bit was ordered by Com niandant ' Riddle to leave because he is not a citizen of the state. Mauerer; took up the case with the Spanish1 War veterans, an Howard G. Waddell of Roseburg state conjmander ol that order. telepraphed the state board.
