Police did not discover that the bill was counterfeit until the end of the day, when efforts were made to deposit ft with other bail money In a bank. The Japanese, Kama Takamo ri, waa arrested again in less than an hour and held for investiga tion, without bail until the mat ter has been explained. The original charge of assault had been preferred by his wife. He told the police he did not know the bill was counterfeit, and that it had ..been given him y some other man.
