There should be a general determination ot consumers no to buy at any such prices. Heads of families should defer ordering a turkey until the last day. Do not fear, there will be plenty of them. The war Is over and the ordinary family should not be made the victim of this grab. Let us pay the farmers a fair price for poultry, say 29 to 25 rents a pound, and not pay the middle man with bis control ot the mar ket as much more for the privi lege of having a tarkey for Thankigivtng or the holidays. The consumers should unite to break up these robberies. It 2000 Salem families would absolutely refuse to buy they, could get a turkey for a fair price.
