died at 1:30 o'clock Friday after
noon at a-4ocaI hospital. - He was
born In Indiana. April 30. 1854.

fornia has filed with the secretary
of state a statement showing that
during the month of October that
company sold In Oregon 430.
09.5 gallons of garoline and
41.486 gallons of distillate, on
which the tax amounted to
$4513.33. At Its Klamath Falls
sub-station the company distribut
ed 35.986 gallons of gasoline and
6467 gallons of distillate, on
which was paid a tax of 1392.21.

a pound, and not pay the middle
man with bis control ot the mar
ket as much more for the privi
lege of having a tarkey for

The consumers should unite to
break up these robberies. It 2000
