Haye Long List From Which to Make Award Bids were received by the -county commissioners yesterday for the new i trucks to be purchased by the county. here were many firms competing for the award and in all there were 31 bids submitted. In accordance with the road program the county commissioners are authorized to pur- hase 10 heavy ' delivery trucks of! three snd one-half tons capacity. These trucks will be alloted to the I different paving plants throughout j the county. Owing to the variety of equipment and discounts for the acceptance of more than one truck entered in the different, bids, the county commis sioners will be unable to decide on the awards for some time. Bids for 10 trucks ranged from $35,500 to $57,000. The Salem Veils company, offering the Bethlehem I trurk. appeared to. be the lowest witn a bid for $35.500,.
