Berry production is heavy and since the destruction of the former cannery by fire two years ago it has . been necessary to haul the fruit to Eu- gene for market, at an annual cost of more than $7000. A cooperative pack- Ing plant, to.coBt about 115,000, Is planned. At present the berry crop .-totals 400,000 pounds annually, but this .figure would be doubled. .
