With tbe somewhat- better reeling, rathe wheat . trad thaa had been anticipated, mill er -have recalled their former deeVrmrnatioa to- sell new crop patent flour at 36.75 and are today announcing a cut of 20o a barrel from 87.20. Only patent flour is affected by the change so far as domestic brand sre con cerned snd export values are held practically intact at 34.90 for club straight and. 3U0 for biuestem cutoff. As only one Iocs mill is reported aa holding any volume of old crop patent flour, it ia Quoting- the former prio at 87.20 for its- of ferings, although lining up with the other .mill at 37 for new crop. While there continue a strong tone here for aaulstuffi, no general change are shewn ir. Quotations. Paget Sound- prices are up 81 aton. but that merely puts them iswline with . the quotations, that hare recently been in effect here. i International wheat I situation showed im provement for the week-end trade. Liverpool w" to d higher at the closing for options while Buenos Aires closed with net gains 'of 1 to 1 c a bushel. Chicago options' started with advances in sympathy with the improved feeling.- Some additional cargo business is said to have been closed in the wheat market here during the 24 hours but the facta are not made pa bho as yet. It appears that ship afloat are being sold for less money thai la being paid for spot wheat here, t Bid for cltfb range from. 81.19 to 1.1 1 a beshel generally, although as high as $1.12 has been paid. "A Brocmhali cabled: United Kingdom Tbe eontrhued scarcity of shipper elfers ot wheat baa created a Tory nraa tone in the markets in the United Kingdom. Buyers . are anxious to purchase parcel in nearby pmitiom. but offerings are extremely light and firmly held at good prices. Despite tin, however, buyers in some case are taking bold even at the high level, and any sizable quantities at Manitoba for Oc tober shipment are bang taken up. Tht export trade in wheat, continue alack, owing to tne difficulty in securing wheat in nearby positions. ; Argentine Wheat prices in Buenos Aires advanced 1 cent, due to the advance in the exchange rate. Foreign demand for wheat has -been fairly active, but offerings of wheat from the country are limited and Supplies of -eld wheat recently bare been greatly dimin ished.
