The last day of XV the Rockaway carnival has marked : the ending of a very busy week for vls ' ltors t this resort. - This event, which la the first of its kind here, and which Is to be an annual affair, has been a great success and has given to many people the opportunity of spending a very en- Joyable week-end at the beach. The south i west winds of the past .week have made surf bathing more than usually en joyable, and .the guests at' the hotel, as well aa the cottagers and campers have been .availing themselves of the oppor tunity for this delightful sport, often go ing across the ridge to have a dip in the mild waters of Lake Lytle as a finish to their bathing.
