ALLIED COUP TO CURB TUI H BEING DISCUSSED Lloyd George and Millerand Will Hold Conference on Turkish Opposition to Paris Treaty. London. June 19. (U. P.) Men acing developments in Turkey , where natlonaJLata are opposing- the en forcement of vthe peace treaty,' are reported to have been the chief rea sons for the sudden planning of a Hythe conference between Premier Lloyd George and Premier Millerand for tonight and tomorrow. J r r Millerand left Paris a day'earller than expected. He is coming direct to Hythe. the Kent watering place, where Lloyd Qeorge and hia staff will be awaiting him. On Monday both will proceed to Boulogne, where the conference will also include representatives , of Italy. Japan, Belgium and Oreece. : It was authoritatively stated here that the conference was called by rea son of serloue reports that Admiral de Xlobbeck. at Constantinople, is convinced the allied position in the straits ta menaced by Mustapha Kemal Pasha's nationalists, numbering 40,000, who are reported to be occupying almost the whole of Anatolia and are believed to be preparing for a great general attack on the allies. ; . TO CO If SEDER METHOD OP , MAKING GERMANY PAT By J. Tf. T. Masea (Writteo for the trntte Preaa.) . - - New York, June 19. The delegates of the five allies who will meet at Boulogne on Monday will have before them for final settlement the method of collect ing the German indemnity and Its divt slon as their principal problems, i How to come to terms with Russia for the resumption of trade relations will also be considered, c Alt efforts by the allies to reach a common agreement on the German In demnity and Russian trade relations have heretofore failed. At Boulogne, a basis for a final settlement must 'be found if European statesmanship is to escape the charge of being unable to handle Its own problems of victory. The presence at - Boulogne of new Italian Foreign Minister Count Sforza meane Italy intends to press her newly formed claims for a larger share of the German indemnity than ahe had previously been allotted. France's attitude of inexorable ' oppo sition to the resumption of trade re lations with Russia will Isolate Premier Millerand at Boulogne If he still clings to this policy. The Belgian representa tives at Boulogne are under Instructions to second the British position. Italy also Is favorable to the British plan of negotiating with . the Bolshevik! trade commissioner, Kraastn. Japan, of course, wilt , support her ally. France cannot " hope to prevail against; this combination. , ; - a-v:- , i The question of revising the Turkish peace treaty is certain to be referred to at Boulogne. On this matter. France holds the winning cards. The French are demanding that greater consideration be shown .Turkish "nationalist . feeling. France's real purpose In taking this aU titude is to prevent a paramount In Hue nee being established in Asia-Minor by Great Britain and Great Britain's protege, Greece. Serious objection is now being-faced in Hngland to the enor mous commitments of Lloyd George ip Asia-Minor, . , II I The Shriee CoaTenUoa Sectioa 3, Pates 1-T-Rtes Larsacr'a Lette -SeaUea S. Pate S.
