Member of th. farm bureau of Linn county at a luncheon conference held In Albany Wednesday decided to finance the office of the county agricultural agent by private sub scription, the request to the county court to include that office in the annual bud get having been denied. . Clark, Deputy Customs Collector, Dies at Marshfield Marshfield, Jan. 8. W. A. Clark, dep uty United States collector of customs for this port, died suddenly at his home here Wednesday. While he was In his of fice he suffered an attack of heart trouble. He was taken home, rested on . the sofa and died. He was a native of Ohio, 54 years old, and leaves a wile v arid son. Sawyer, master of the tanker J. A. Chanslor, which was wrecked at Cape Blanco, was here over night from Bandon, where he has been recovering from exposure.
