Wolfgang Bau mann, a resident for nearly SO years of the New- Kra district, died at his home near New Bra Tuesday night at the age of 12 years. He was born in Austria, coming to the United States' 5 years ago. Had he lived until next week, he and Mrs.' Baumann would have celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Surviving, besides his wife, are eight ' children, 28 grandchildren and 15 great ' grandchildren. Oregon City. Oct 8. The controversy over the designation of the Damascus district road to be paved under the pro posed bond Issue will be settled by three men. Instead of the general committee of county -good road .enthusiasts. , This decision was reached by the general committee Tuesday night. , The distance In controversy Is about three-miles. The committee selected J. C Elliott, repre senting Damascus, and Wallace Telford. Boring. These, two will , choose, a third member.'
