JOBBING PRICES IX PORTLAND Some of the flour millers who were, so anxions to put one over on the publlo by advancing tbe price of both flour and feed, have come to grief as a result of the meeting held yesterday. The claim has been made that an advance h flour and feed was necessary as a result of the higher cost of wheat and the taxes which go Into effect March 1. That there is nothing whatever in this con tention is shown by the fact that no change whatever has been made in the cost of wheat to millers and no taxes are likely to be placed upon supplies, which are practically owned by the government Interest reporting to Tha Journal state that tne price or ootn Hour and mulstuffs is more than high enough at this time to Insure full profits to millers, aa allowed by tha food ad ministration.
