(Adv.) : Kufrene Bruce, 39 years old, evangel ist, female impersonator, entertain ment organiser, song writer, poet, spir itualist and apostle of the Christian Yogi, will muse for the next five days In the city Jail as the result of a con viction in the municipal court yester day on a charge of defrauding an inn keeper. On the promise that he would give his benefactor half the profits of the publication, Bruce, several days ago borrowed $45 from Mrs. A. M. Law rence, 546 Bast Glison street, to go towards the printing of a volume of poems. Immediately afterwards Bruce and his mother left the Lawrence home, where they had been boarding, and Bruce is said to have attempted a similar "touch" from F. W. Heath, 167 Stout street. Detective Pose as Poet. Heath, who Is also a poet and song writer, called on his friend Detective P. J. Moloney for advice, and Mo loney Monday night was Introduced to Bruce as one Interested in poetry. Mo loney "received the request for a loan, then placed Bruce under arrest. The complaint was signed by Mrs. Lau rence, and she appeared against him this morning. On the witness stand Bruce said that Mrs. Lawrence had made violent love to him, while he resided in her home and that tys mother had left the house one morning when she caught him sit ting on Mrs. Lawrence's bed. This statement, Mrs. Lawrence promptly re futed. "Well, he a liar." exclaimed Mrs. Lawrence. "That's all I've got to say. His neing there In my house was sim ply a matter of money with me.
