A number of millers are already talking about uch a price movement, bu no geueral changes have as yet been made. With the price of wheat higher here and tbe eastern flour practically entirely eliminat ed from the Pacific coast trade because of the extreme quotation of the product at $7.70 for top grades. Pacific northwest millers have nothing to fear from outside competition. Comparatively ieaklng. Hie pri e of flour here la cheap. This section Is ty far the lowest flour market In the world, therefore a general advance la forecasted by the trade. Wheat market la erratic. The opening today, while renerally lu the first sales, waa followed almost lin n.edlately by a reaction wl.lch sent prices oVwn fractionally in corn and oats and over a rent In wheat. The setback In wheat was credited partial ly to a formal cmplalnt. according to re ports by the London Corn Trade association to tbe American ambassador In London as to the quality of American wheat being ahlpped tc Europe this year. Trouble la said to I rrrreable to the Inspection of the Chicago loard of trade, which la said to have passed No. 2 hard wlr.ter wheat, a great deal of grain at the beginning of the season, which vaa not considered up to t,, standard. It Is claimed that about 20.iVhj.(ni bushels sre Involved. It Is figured this will result In 1 serious rettck for export business in Amerl csu wheat. The corn market todav waa mt-e or lesa a trading affair. Irofe8sionals class It as a break buy.
