Derby, 64 yearsj a resident of Oregon, is dead, aged 74 years. He came to Oregon in 1860, and spent 41 years at Sublimity, Turner: Aumsville rand in the Waldo hills. )At Turner and Aumsville he was in the mercan tile business, and ' he farmed in the Waldo 'hills. He moved to Salem IB years ago. He is survived by a widow and seven children. His funeral was held this afternoon, under the auspices of the Masons. t : Silas Allen Jones, who crossed the plains in 1852 with ox teams, was buried at Brooks Saturday afternoon. He joined the federal army. in 1862, and was honorably discharged In 1S65. He was converted to the Christian faith while attending school in Mc Minnville. He was married to Rebecca B.
