Miss Elizabeth Caples yesterday petitioned for appointment as executrix of the Will of her mother, Mrs. Nancy Caples, who died July 17, leaving property es timated by the petition to be worth $24,000. To Jane Dodge and Olive Hemlow, daughters, Mrs. Caples' left $600 each. Eight grandchildren were left nothing, as provision for them was made during Mrs. Caples' life. After weeks of delay, the city coun cil this morning decided to tear down the unsightly Gipsy Smith auditorium which has cost the city $75 a month the last year. The building is a large frame structure- near Seventeenth and Taylor streets, and has been considered a fire menace . by adjoining property owners ever - since It was erected. Mayor Albee and Commissioner Blge low opposed the plan to destroy it. but they were overruled. Mrs. Anna Kersten yesterday filed suit for divorce ' against Herman Kersten, al leging that he spent but a few days of each month at home while they wero , living in Bend.
