Tills does not mean that an under ground lake exists under the postof fiee 'block. The water has reached a point on the river bank where it seeps along underground through a soft strata of soil' or sand In such quantities as to prevent the drill from cutting a hole. The work consequently has been stopped and probably will not be re sumed for some time.
