Per kins, one of Oregon'a oldest settlers, died at his home In this city on Febru ary t, and was burled in Bandon ceme tery Sunday. Mr, Perkins waa born in Hardin county, Tenn., June 22, 1831. Brown on the First National bank of tills eity, made to and Indorsed by F. H. Ford. The forgery was discovered yesterday when the cheek was presented for payment, but the criminal had had time to get away.
