GRAY PLEASED WITH TILLAMOOK LINE Gray this morning, in speaking of the. trip, "and saw some- wonderful fir : and cedar timber that for years to come win furnish traffic for our line. When this timber has been removed ths denuded lands can be used for agricultural pur poses because the soil in .the valleys Is of excellent quality. ' ? President Gray said that extension of the line from Banks to Tillamook de pends entirely upon what attitude the railroads take towards extension and construction work. He says that as yet he has received no information on that score and the resumption of work be yond Banks therefore is still an open question. "We visited Tillamook, Bay City and Garibaldi," continued Mr. Gray, "and the people of the Tillamook country certainly have tbelr arms open for a railroad. They need one and they will have one, but how soon the work will be taken upon our line depends a great deal on the attitude of the pubtle to ward the rallroada .
