Leggett, bound for Puget sound, was also one of the contestants, t but was left " behind off Point Arena with the others. Her cargo consists of 1000 barrels of asphalt and '60 tons of general merchan dise. She will load 860,000 feet of lum ber at the Portland mills for-her re turn trip to San Fraiwlsco.- The steam schooner Thomas L. Captain Peterson said that they had an ordinary trln. the weather being plcas - ant all of the way up to the mouth of the Columbia.
