The retail butchers of New York have organized to protect their patrons from the meat trust an far as they are able. Edward Y. O'Neill, president of the state branch -of the United Butchers of America, the retailers' pational organization, has announced theplans. 'The Retail Buthrhers' Fat Render ing company lias been organised." he -said. 'Tb retailers btiy carcasses from the wholesalers, paving for fat end all. This fat the wholesalers buy ba'k at from 2 to 4Vj cents a pound. "We are going to make the by product ourselve? however tallow, soap, candles ani oils and by this means hope to realize 7 cents a pound value on the fat.
